A natural would not be able to do this routine. For naturals to grow they need a low volume high intensity program. Doug (RIP) was able to pull off his routine for chest 3x a week because with steroids it maximizes recovery faster than a natural.

Im doing 3 sets of this excercise and between the sets I take 8min rest. So far so good. Like this excercise. I am focussing on 3/5 min rest between the sets.

Its hard to believe that Doug is under 300 pounds his upper body and quads I would guess like 315 to 320 his chest shoulders traps are just thick muscle true mass & strength.
See if you can look up a construction worker strongman named Paul “Zazu” Bruno. He worked out at the Mid-City Health Club in New York in the 1970s and 1980s . There was a article about him in the Muscular Development magazine February 1983. He was part of the construction crew building the Twin Towers and accidentally fell 8 stories to the ground. He survived with multiple injuries. He slowly rebuild his body back to almost his former strength with partial movements in a power rack. Prior to his accident some of his lifts : squat 835 pounds,710 deadlift, 615 bench press ,210 pound dumbbells for lying tricep extensions and half squats with 1200 pounds. After he recovered at age 60 he did a 800 pound squat, 750 pound deadlift, 525 pound bench press and 1000 pound half squat. No mention of his height or weight but he looked very bulky and strong in his photos.

Sorry If I sound stupid. But If he benched 300 pounds how did he bench 400+ pounds in his routine over the next few months while trying to gain? Sorry If I sound stupid I'm trying to understand the process.
Why don't you just say steroids work. It would clear up a lot of myths about weightlifting and bodybuilding.
Steroids don't make champions, everyone else in that era was juicing so that can't be an excuse for his success. Obviously his methods and hard work led to his success

what is a tactical athlete?
I was Joe and Fred's training business partner in New Orleans. The shot of whiskey came from researching the benefits of whiskey. Research indicated 1 shot 1 minute before your last lift or competing in anything was greatly beneficial. After about 6-8 minutes the effect wore off. Little Joe doesn't remember that we had a "fast twitch" machine which caused all of us to excel in the squat. At least 5 guys in the guys could squat over 800. We'd also do heavy heavy walkouts on the Squat. Get used to the heavy weights. Joe doesn't mention he had We did body building in the off season. There were no chains or bands, but Fred wrote the forward for my book which is inclusive of bands, "progressive" resistance, the key to Fast twitch muscle training.

Sticking point in reg. to benchpress may be a unique way to improve ones punching abilities if training for martial arts?! Just wonder why thais have not used it yet, as they really are so ahead in perception of the game?

He use sintetic suplements, maybe steroids, but proteins for sure. Still he is strong but you can't be like this whitout chemistry.
